Cattle Tag Regulations
Animals born after 1st January 2000 require a set of tags - one primary and one secondary tag - printed with a numeric herd number from the holding of birth followed by a check digit and the five digit animal number.
Lost tags should be replaced with a tag printed with the same information as the original.
These tag regulations apply to Great Britain only.
